If money is involved
If you are about to send money, gift cards, crypto, bank access, identity documents, or personal financial details, pause before acting.
If you already paid, save evidence and contact your bank, payment provider, gift card company, dating platform, or local authorities as soon as possible.
If you feel pressured or unsafe
Do not keep the situation secret because someone online asked you to.
Ask a trusted person to review the messages with you before continuing.
